A useful observation.
A practical next step.

Customer Path Check is a guided self-assessment for independent business websites. It helps you look at the route from a first visit to an enquiry.

You make the observations. Fixed rules organize your answers and suggest actions. This public self-check does not visit your website, run a technical audit or measure search visibility.

Six checks, based on what you see.

  1. Your offer: can a new visitor understand your main service from the top of the homepage?
  2. Your service area: can they find where you work?
  3. Your next step: is a clearly labelled contact action easy to spot?
  4. Your mobile experience: can they read and use the page on a phone?
  5. Your business information: can they find current contact details and a concrete explanation of your work?
  6. Your contact route: have you confirmed that an enquiry, email or call reaches the intended destination?

What your answers mean.

“Yes, it’s clear” records a positive observation. “It needs work” creates a suggested action. “Not checked yet” creates a verification task. A check you have not performed never counts as clear.

The summary counts each category out of six. It is not a weighted website score. Answers are self-reported and have not been independently verified.

How we order the next steps.

Known gaps come first, followed by untested items. Within each group, the fixed order is: contact action, working contact route, offer, mobile experience, service area, then business information. This is an editorial starting point, not a prediction of business impact.

Each suggestion gives you a specific task. After a change, repeat the same observation. Completing the checklist does not prove that a website change has been made or that an enquiry route is working.

What the check does not measure.

This check does not measure page speed, technical accessibility compliance, search rankings, traffic, Google Business Profile performance, legal compliance or the security of your website. It does not promise more customers or carry out changes to your website.

About the report preview.

The homepage preview uses invented example observations to explain the experience. It is labelled as illustrative and does not represent a real client, a live scan or a customer result.
